Please explain the meaning of "Rock Chalk"?
Also, I listened to the game and enjoyed it thoroughly! I have a thing for the underdog ;)

As a chant, it's been around since before 1900. Some KU students were taking a train from Wichita to Lawrence and trying to come up with a cheer, and apparently took inspiration from the limestone hills known as "chalk rock" which they would have passed. At home games, they do the chant (two times slow, three times fast) right after singing the alma mater, and then you'll hear just the first slow part in the last couple minutes of a game when it's obvious we're going to win. You could hear it tonight! It makes me all nostalgic. :)

Re: Jayhawks
Yay! I linked to a YouTube video of it last week, and it seriously brought tears to my eyes. Some of my best college memories involve Allen Field House and that chant.
